Our Bridges Are Safe Says DOT
The people who inspect and maintain the major spans that bridge Red River and Cross Lake, the state Department of Transportation and Development, say these are safe for travel, though all are aging and require a close eye and tender loving care.

This is like so many other things that the media gets their hands on. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. I bet if we look close there are cracks in I-20 too Professionals built the Titanic and a rookie built the Arc
