"Gun Laws Do Not Need To Change"

Let's put blame where it belongs, blame the shooter and not the gun.

Fatal car accident - do you blame the car?
Fatal stabbing - do you blame the knife

Let's put the responsibility where it belongs - the gun is not at fault but a highly defective person is at fault.

"Guns don't kill people, people kill people".

Please don't think I am blaming the gun. I don't. It's all the shooter, but were the gun control laws different (and that is what this thread is about) the outcome yesterday could have been a little different. Somebody could have taken the a**hole out sooner before 32 people went down.

If alcohol, tobacco, and cholesterol/fat foods had even tighter restrictions or outlawed, the result would save more lives each year than murders by firearms by far. Mandantory HIV testing would have a great impact as well. I think it is sad our government usually reacts to a situation than looking toward the future and preventing a situation.

I REALLY hope this was an attempt at humor, otherwise it's downright scary.

So then what you are saying is that we should repeal the school zone laws making possession of drugs firearms within 50' of school property a felony charge with mandatory time?

After all, that's the only way an honest person "could have taken that a**hole out sooner".
