Sci-Port Discovery Center is making a formal name change. Starting October 1st, it will be officially known as "Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center." Ann Fumarolo, Sci-Port's President and CEO made that announcement Wednesday, August 20th, 2008, during a noon press conference at the science center in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana.
Fumarolo spoke "One-on-One" with Tom Pace from "The Talk of the Town" about the big name, and other exciting news.
Fumarolo told Pace that while Sci-Port is celebrating their 10th Anniversary this October, ther August 18th edition of Parents magazine has named the science center to its Top 10 list of science centers in the United States.
