Shreveport's own Kenny Wayne Shepherd spoke with Tom Pace on his "The Talk of the Town" radio show. (Saturday, April 12th, 2008) on SuperTalk 1340, KRMD about "A Benefit for Buddy Flett." 

Kenny Wayne told Pace he's proud to headline a benefit concert for his friend and fellow guitarist Buddy Flett.  Kenny Wayne told Tom about the line-up of music greats donating their time (including Hubert Sumlin), performing live to help raise money for Buddy Flett's medical expenses. The concert is scheduled for 7pm, Sunday, April 27th, at the Strand Theatre in Shreveport, La.

Flett was recently stricken with viral encephalitis about 3 months ago, and was in ICU at LSU-HSC for nearly a month. While Flett is home now, he's still going through rehab treatment that's expected to take several more months, which means he's not able to work.
