Flooding Assessment by State & Local Officials After Fly-Over of Caddo-Bossier Flooded Areas 10-31

Saturday, October 31st, 2009, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal dispatched Maj. Gen. Bennett C. Landreneau (Adjutant General, Louisiana National Guard) and Mark Cooper, State Director of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness aboard a National Guard helicopter to Shreveport for a flyover assessment by local and state officials pertaining to the flooding damage in Northwest Louisiana.

Following the helicopter eye-view of the flooded areas across Caddo and Bossier parishes, the delegation aboard the helicopter made statements to the media at TacAir. The interviews were recorded by Tom Pace fron the "Talk of the Town."  Reporters along with Pace at the briefing included Crissi Coille from KTBS-TV3 and John Andrew Prime of The Times. 


Among those on board the National Guard chopper were: Maj. Gen. Bennett C. Landreneau (Adjutant General, Louisiana National Guard) Congressman John C. Fleming, M.D; State Rep. Jane Smith; Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover; Mr. Sandy Davis (Caddo/Bossier Homeland Security Director) State Rep. Henry Burns; Mark Cooper, State Director of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness
