Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen Conducts Media Update with BC Fire Chief Halphen on Parish Flooding 11-2

Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen held a news conference Monday afternoon, Nov. 2nd, 2009 at the Intersection of Hwys 157/154. Sheriff Deen updated the media on the current flooding situation across Bossier Parish. He was joined Bossier Fire Chief Sammy Haphen, Bossier Mayor “Lo” Walker, and State Representatives Jane Smith and Henry Burns.

As hew wrapped up the briefing, Chief Halphen cautioned everyone concerned: “Remember, this is going to be days, maybe even weeks," adding, "Red Chute’s not going to go down in a few days.”

 

“It will take a long time for Red Chute to go down. But we’re really, really hoping to get some indicators that it’s going down, and we can breathe a sigh of relief. But at this point, we really need to all stay on guard,” said Halphen
