Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen Conducts Media Update with BC Fire Chief Halphen on Parish Flooding 11-2Posted by: Tom Pace - November 02, 2009Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen held a news conference Monday afternoon, Nov. 2nd, 2009 at the Intersection of Hwys 157/154. Sheriff Deen updated the media on the current flooding situation across Bossier Parish. He was joined Bossier Fire Chief Sammy Haphen, Bossier Mayor “Lo” Walker, and State Representatives Jane Smith and Henry Burns. Held at the Bossier Mobile Command Post, the news conference podcast was recorded by Tom Pace from “The Talk of the Town,” on www.ShreveTalk.com. Several other reporters were present including Ben Wolf, KSLA-TV12; Casey Ferrand, KTBS-TV3; Karen Hopkins, KTAL-NBC6; Kelsey McKinney, The Times. As hew wrapped up the briefing, Chief Halphen cautioned everyone concerned: “Remember, this is going to be days, maybe even weeks," adding, "Red Chute’s not going to go down in a few days.”
