Louisiana's Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu stopped by the newly-opened Robinson Film Center in Shreveport, Louisiana Tuesday, May 13th, 2008, to officially unveil the state's latest advertising campaign for Tourism, titled "My Louisiana."
Landrieu spoke One-on-One with Tom Pace from "The Talk of the Town" about the details of the $6 million tourism advertising campaign that will target Louisiana residents, and visitors from out of state.
Landrieu was joined by Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover, along with President of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau Stacy Brown for the afternoon news conference.
"This is My Louisiana" is called a "Celebrity Insider" series of 60 second ads, featuring well-known Louisiana natives, like chefs, musicians, actressesm and NBA players who offer tips on what visitors should see and and do while in Louisiana.
Current "Insiders" on the State Tourism commercials include: Chef John Besh; actress Faith Ford of "Murphy Brown" fame; Chef John Folse; musician Amanda Shaw; GrammyAward winner Terrence Simien; and NBA greats: Karl "The Mailman" Malone, Willis Reed, and Chris Paul.
