Shreveport CrimeStoppers spokesman, Sgt. Jim Taliaferro spoke with Tom Pace from "The Talk of the Town," on ceremonies held today honoring law enforcement personnel who given their lives in the live of duty.  National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial was observed this Thursday, May 15th, 2008 at the Shreveport Fire and Police Memorial, located next to the Barnwell Center on Clyde Fant Parkway, in Shreveport, Louisiana. 

Additionally, Sgt. Taliaferro presided over CrimeStoppers 1st Annual Media Appreciation Luncheon held today at the University Club, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Sponsored by Bobby L. Greene Plumbing, the Media Appreciation event honored those various news organizations and media-related businesses who contribute time and efforts to help CrimeStoppers tell their story to the public.

Various persons and organizations received plaques in appreciation of their continuing assistance helping the Shreveport Police "take a bite out of crime."
