Sandy Davis, Dir. OEP for NWLA News Conference 5-19-08 on Flood Disaster UpdatePosted by: Tom Pace - May 19, 2008Sandy Davis, Director of the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness held an afternoon press conference Monday, May 19th, 2008 at the Homeland Security Office in Bossier City. Davis told the media that it was imperative that homeowners, business owners, & residents who expericenced flood damage from the May 13th & 14th storms document their damage. This is a recording of the news conference made by Tom Pace, Executive Editor of The Talk of the Town, at www.ShreveTalk.com. Davis also gave a list of what disaster victims can, and can not expect from the goverment in the coming weeks. He gave an assessment of the number of homes and businesses reporting damage (some 280+) he said. Most importantly, Davis a checklist of what you should do as you cleanup the damage to your homes and property. Reid Brau, Executive Director for the Northwest La. Chapter of the American Red Cross also addressed the media, saying his number of damaged properties is very close to Davis' 280 residences & businesses.
