La. Atty General Buddy Caldwell with Tom Pace on BC Domestic Violence Workshop; Recent Supreme CourtPosted by: Tom Pace - June 26, 2008
Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell was one of the Keynote Speakers for today's Domestic Violence Workshop in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Caldwell spoke "One-on-One" with Tom Pace from "The Talk of the Town" about his involvement in the ongoing battle against domestic violence, and the various organizations that are working to help women in fear for their safety.
The Attorney General also commented on two recent Supreme Court runilings handed down this week: one, that declared unconstitutional, the death penalty for child rapists. In that decision, the high court struck down the death penalty in a Louisiana case.
Caldwell also addressed today's ruling, on June 26th, that overturned the Washington, D.C. ban on owning hand guns. Caldwell was quite vocal in his praise for the Supreme Court in lifting that ban.
