John Paul Scotch Receives Honesty & Integrity Award from WH Booth Lodge 380 4-17-08Posted by: Tom Pace - April 18, 2008
John Paul Scotch, received The Honesty and Integrity Award Thursday night, April 17th, 2008 from W.H. Booth Lodge No. 380 of the Order of the Masons. This is a most highly revered award presented by Masonic Lodges across Louisiana. Tom Pace with "The Talk of the Town" spoke with John Paul about what the award means to him.
A junior at Northwood High School, John Paul has always had a love for sports. At the age of eleven, he suffered an eye injury that caused him to go blind in his left eye. Not letting this barrier keep him away from his passion, John Paul began volunteering in various sports.
As a freshman at Northwood High School, John Paul wanted to participate as a member of the football team, but was not released by his eye doctor to do so. As a result, he became an intricate part of the football program under the direction of Coach Daniel Turnbow, as the football manager.
