Revel Highlights for 2009:

Saving Abel
: The Mississippi-based band burst onto the scene in the summer of 2008 with their smash hit, “Addicted.” They bring plenty of energy and rock to their shows.

Pat Green: This country artist paved his way in dancehalls and venues all across Texas before his 2003 hit, “Wave on Wave,” took him to the national stage. He draws from influences like Robert Earl Keen, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and other country legends for a fresh sound that reminds you of a warm, Texas summer day.

Worldgate Entertainment’s Amazing Stilt Puppets: People of all ages will be engulfed in a mythical world where these vibrant characters come to life, resembling dragons moving on stilts. These puppeteers travel worldwide bringing their unique performances.

“Big Red” Ferris wheel: Set right on the banks of the mighty Red, this 50-foot Ferris wheel guarantees spectacular views of the Shreveport-Bossier riverfronts.

Scrumptious food: Many folks visit the Revel just for its unforgettable food! Take a taste of the popular Louisiana sandwich – the muffaleta pizza, or fish tacos, a BBQ parfait or brisket egg rolls. Our festival favorites are delicious and different—such as Natchitoches meat pies, fried mushrooms, shrimp on a stick and crawfish bread.

Dewayne Hill: A world-record breaking magician, performing 71 card tricks in 60 minutes using one deck of cards! He is one of seven black magicians performing in the United States. He blends family friendly comedy with his magic act to give you a laugh and wow you at the same time.

Children’s Area: Children can explore the arts and create their own masterpieces in this hands-on area. Kids mold their own soaps, go on a mock geological dig, participate in a stilt dancing workshops and so much more!
