Tuesday, Nov 03, 2009 9:48am

BOSSIER CITY, LA From KSLA-TV12 (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town) BREAKING:
RED CHUTE BAYOU CRESTS: 12N 11-3-09 Residents in northeast Bossier can now
breathe a sigh of relief. Emergency officials today said the Red Chute has crested and
is now receding in the areas along the levee to the north of Highway 80.

Stockwood, Dogwood, Carriage Oaks, and other nearby neighborhoods are no longer
under an evacuation advisory but are urged to keep watching for
updates should the
situation there change, KSLA-TV12 reported.

Anyone who evacuated from those neighborhoods can now go home.

However, officials warn, people living from Sligo Road south to Highway 154 are still
under a watch.
Residents living between Highway 154 and the Loggy Bayou Bridge
remain under an evacuation advisory.

Emergency officials say the Red Chute in those areas will continue to rise as the water
moves south to Loggy Bayou and eventually to the Red River.
