Tuesday, Nov 03, 2009 4:36pm

SHREVEPORT, LA (By: Tom Pace, Executive Editor, Talk of the Town) BREAKING: MIRACLE SURVIVOR MICHAEL WILLIAMS 4pm 11-3-09 To quote Michael Williams: “I’m here today for a reason, I don’t what it is right now, but I’ll let you know when I find out.” However, many believe the fact that the 57 year-old graphic artist is alive today, is truly a miracle. When asked today if he believed in miracles, Williams said, “Absolutely, absolutely.”

With his wife Judy by his side, along with several doctors from the LSU Trauma Center, and business associate and personal friend Francesca Benten, Williams was quick to thank the many Shreveport police and emergency fire personnel who literally, “…saved my life.”

Just six days ago on October 29th, while stopped at a red light in front of the First United Methodist Church, Williams suddenly found himself "...curled into a ball" after the 100-foot tall, 12-ton church steeple crashed onto the top of his brand new Lexus, from the force of an F-2 tornado that tore thru downtown.

Fast forward to this Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, and he’s talking with reporters from his hospital bed at the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, La.

Williams concluded the interview by saying, “Right now my main focus is helping the people here at LSUS (Health Sciences Center) put my body back together.”
