Florida GOP Primary Today: Romney & McCain-Too Close to Call...Giuliani's Last Stand?
Tuesday, Jan 29, 2008 11:52am
FLORIDA (By: Tom Pace, Executive Editor "Talk of the Town") 1-29-08   Republicans are in an all out battle for the GOP Presidential nominee in 2008.  The  two top Republican contenders: Sen. John McCain of Arizona and Gov. Mitt Romney, of Massasschusetts are literally "neck-and-neck" according to CNN.  Too close to call right now.

Early voter turnout in the Sunshine State is reported heavy, already with more than one million ballots cast thru early voting and absentees.  It's possible this could be record turnout, despite the fact there is no Democratic primary being held.

The dark horse in the Florida primary is former New York City Mayor, Rudy Giuliani. He apparently has put all his eggs in this primary basket.  The only question now: "It it too little, too late?"  A poor showing might just seal the deal on his bowing out.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is also making a run in Florida, as well as Rep. Ron Paul, of Texas.
