BOSSIER CITY, LA From The Times  (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town)  BREAKING ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: 5:45pm 4-24-08  American Idol fans will get to see their favorite singers up-close and personal, when the "American Idols Live" tour stops at CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, August 26th.

According to The Times, the concert features this season’s top 10 finalists at nearly 50 venues across the country. The tour begins July 1 at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Ariz., and concludes Sept. 13 in Tulsa.
Bossier City is one of the smaller venues on the schedule, but cities were chosen by the size of the show’s fan base.

This year’s tour will differ from previous tours. Rather than hearing duets and trios sing, the show will feature each individual performer. Each finalist will perform their own set.

Despite some of the performer’s credits as songwriters, no Idols will perform original material on the tour. The concert aims to bring the television show to the live stage, so fans will hear many of the songs performed during this season’s show.

Ticket prices and an on-sale date have not been announced.
