McCoy, accused of a triple-murder in Bossier City, remains in custody, on suicide watch in Lewiston, Idaho this Tuesday.  Today, McCoy was cleared to return to Bossier City to face murder charges, since two  misdemeanor  charges against him were dropped by a Nez Perce magistrate.

"He waived extradition on the 10th," said Sgt. Jack McGee with Nez Perce County sheriff's office. "He appeared before a magistrate (Monday) and was given the OK to return to Louisiana," The Times reported.

In the reported suicide attempt on Monday, McCoy was found hanging from his bedsheet in his cell, Nez Perce deputies said. Jail officers cut him down and began administering CPR. Medics in Lewiston, Idaho, arrived three minutes later and continued CPR, reviving McCoy.

McCoy was taken to St. Joseph Hospital via ambulance and was responding well to medical treatment, deputies said.

McCoy was arrested at approximately 9:15 p.m. (cdst) Friday, May 9th, by officers with the Idaho State Police and the Lewiston Police Department. McCoy was arrested without incident.

Police recovered the weapon believed used in the

Investigators learned McCoy fled Bossier City on the night of the murders by hitching rides that took him to Texas, Arkansas, Washington State and then to Idaho. McCoy faces three counts of first degree murder for the shooting deaths of 55 year old Christine Colston, 50 year old Willie Ray Young and 17-year old Gregory Colston.

Bossier City obtained information that lead Idaho authorities to McCoy’s location. It’s believed McCoy was headed to an undisclosed location in California
