BREAKING 5-21-08 Congressional Candidate Jeff Thompson Addresses Caddo Republican Women

SHREVEPORT, LA (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town) BREAKING: POLITICS  11pm 5-21-08 Speaking in front of a packed room of Caddo Republican Women, candidate for Louisiana's 4th Congressional District, Jeff Thompson said, "Washington is headed in the wrong direction," adding if elected, he will be "...a conservative voice in Washington."

The 42 year old Shreveport Republican was recently endorsed by retiring Congressman of Jim McCrery.  He spoke on a variety of topics, including what would be his plan to combat the rising gasoline prices; why is he the most qualified for the job, and, his background as an attorney. 

Tom Pace with "The Talk of the Town" then asked Thompson a question many have wondered about:  "Just WHY did McCrery choose him to endorse?  

It's anticipated as many as 8 to 10 candidates will wind up running for McCrery's seat in the House of Representatives.
