COLLEGE NEWS: 4:15pm 5-30-08 Caddo Sheriff Offers Safety Course for College-Bound Students

SHREVEPORT, LA  (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town) BREAKING: COLLEGE NEWS 4:15pm  5-30-08   Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator is offering a one-day College Safety Course June 5th, for college-bound students ages 17 to 21.  Click here to listen as Sheriff Prator tells Tom Pace why the course is so important to new college students. 

Participating students will receive information on campus security, self defense, personal safety, dating violence, identity theft, safe driving, drug awareness, personal finances, mental health awareness, and internet safety. Students will also be allowed to tour the Correctional Center.

The program is from 9 am until 4 pm, Thursday, June 5, 2008, at the Caddo Correctional Center

To register for the Caddo Sheriff's College Safety Course, contact the Sheriff’s Community Programs Section at 681-0870 or 681-0875.

There is no charge for the course, but seating is limited.
