David slew Goliath on the field of the University of Phoenix in Glendale, Arizona Sunday night. Eli Manning and the New York Giants pulled off one of the biggest upsets in NFL Super Bowl history, beating the New England Patriots 17-14.

It will go down as the greatest victory of the New York Giants. Winning quarterback Eli Manning gets the Super Bowl MVP Award, plus a brand new Cadillac Escalade.

On top of the amazing upset win,  Eli Manning joins brother Peyton as the first two brothers ever, to win Super Bowl titles back-to-back (last year, Peyton's Colts won...this year, Eli & the Giants)

The Miami Dolphins of  '72, are still the only Super Bowl Championship Team with a perfect unbeaten record.

While it was one of the lowest-scoring Super Bowl games ever,  it certainly took the Vegas oddsmakers by surprise (the over/under was 54 total points scored). This game saw only 31 points combined.  The Final Giants 17 - Patriots 14.

The last New York drive of nearly two minutes had the crowd on their feet. And, when Eli threw the game-winning TD pass to Plaxico Burrass  with 35 seconds left, it put the exclamation point on their season.

The Patriots got the ball back with all three timeouts remaining...but it was too little, too late.  The Giants played inspired defense, and sealed the game, forcing New England to turn the ball over to New York with one second remaining.

And the game is history.  The Vince Lombardi Super Bowl XLII trophy goes to the New York Giants.
