BREAKING 6-3-08 CNN: Obama Wins Democratic Nomination; Clinton: No Concession Tonight
Tuesday, Jun 03, 2008 7:11pm
ROAD TO THE WHITE HOUSE From CNN (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town) BREAKING POLITICS: 8:55pm  6-3-08  History is being made tonight, as CNN projects the first African-American ever, Sen. Barack Obama, has enough delegates to secure the Democratic presidential nomination.

It's projected that while Clinton will take the South Dakota primary, Obama will win Montana's primary.

Meanwhile, his contender Sen. Hillary Clinton showed no signs of conceding tonight, at a speech in New York City. "There's no decision tonight," said Clinton...an obvious reference to the speculation she's willing to take a vice-presidential slot on the fall Democratic ticket.

She concluded her speech thanking all of her family and staff for their support, mentioning her mother who turns 80 tomorrow.

In a somewhat defiant-type speech, Clinton said this is a time to reflect on her making a decision in "what's best for the party and the country." She concluded by saying: "There's nothing we can't do, if we just start acting like Americans again."
