BREAKING 6-3-08 Lou Burnett's Fax-Net Update Celebrates 10th Anniversary Reporting Politics

SHREVEPORT, LA  (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town) BREAKING: JOURNALISM  6-3-08  The widely read and insightful publication on Louisiana news and politics, the Fax-Net Update is celebrating its 10th anniversary today. And, sources tell "The Talk of the Town" that Mayor Cedric Glover paid a surprise visit to Burnett at their weekly lunch for the media.  

Glover's mission: to present an official proclamation "Tuesday, June3rd, 2008 as Fax-Net Update Day in Shreveport, Louisiana." Published weekly by political pundit and former congressional press secretary Lou Gehrig Burnett, the Fax-Net Update The Fax-Net Update is still going strong.

The weekly publication is e-mailed and faxed to readers throughout Louisiana and 15 other states...and is funded by advertising coupled with a subscriber base, according to Burnett.

"Like everything else, it has become more expensive to produce a quality publication, but, fortunately, most of our subscribers have stuck with us.  We encourage you to help us by bringing new paying customers on board," said Burnett.
 
In his latest issue, Burnett sends a special thank you to his columnists:
