BREAKING 3:15pm 6-11-08 FREE "Ark-La-Tex Open Air Art Show" Debuts Sat, June 14th, 8a-6p

SHREVEPORT, LA (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town) COMMUNITY ARTS 3:30pm 6-11-08  The first ever Ark-La-Tex Open Air Arts Show makes its debut this Saturday, June 14th, from 8am-6pm, at the covered Parking Area above the Credit Bureau of the South, 600 Common Street, in Shreveport, Louisiana (where Milam, Texas St. & Common all converge in downtown Shreveport).  Participation is free to the artists, and admission is free to the public. 

According to Ralph Cody, the event's brainchild and organizer, "I've lived all over the country, and it seemed there was a need here in Shreveport-Bossier for artists to be able to show their works."  

"This is an event designed to help the local artists," said Cody, "and I intend to continue the Ark-La-Tex Open Air Arts Show year round, on the second Saturday of each month."  

Cody especially thanks Greg Juneau, the owner of the Credit Bureau of the South for danating the facility's coveredd parking area for this event.

All artists are welcome to participate and display their works (any form of art: photography, oil, water paintings, pottery, sculptures, and multi-media works of art as well.  There is not charge to exhibit and sell the works of art.  

Artists are asked to show up with their displays by 8am this Saturday.
