BREAKING 6pm 6-16-08 Local Sexual Predators Arrested by NW La Internet Crimes Task Force

BOSSIER CITY, LA (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town) BREAKING: CRIME WATCH  6pm 6-16-08  Three local men from Northwest Louisiana were recently arrested in another round-up of internet sexual predators solicating underage children from undercover agents posing as young girls on the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

The thee men arrested by the NWLA-ICAC Task Force: 

* 24 year-old Christopher Powell from Homer, Louisiana for
(2) counts of Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor; and
(2) counts of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. 

* 41 year-old Kenneth R. Epperson, Jr, Shreveport, Louisiana for Computer Colication of a Minor; Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile; and Attempted Carnal Knowledge

* 31 year-old Carlos Villavicencio IV, of Shreveport, Louisiana for Computer Colicitation of a Minor; Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile; Attempted Carnal Knowledge

According to Marshal Wyatt, all three men solicited undercover agents of the Task Force, who then chatted with them & arranged meetings.

Accompanied by Bossier District Attorney Schulyer Marvin, and other local law enforement ICAC Task Force officials, Wyatt addressed the growing problem of sexual predators trolling for underage kids on the internet. 

The Bossier City Marshal emphasized the parents and their kids to access the website www.MarshalsForKids.com, as the latest resource established to give advice on avoiding child predators. 

Wyatt also reminded parents and civic organizations, that Task Force Agents will continue to give presentations about the dangers facing our children in cyberspace, and how to protect our children.
