BREAKING 2pm 7-28-08 Former Sen. Syd Nelson Endorses Eddie Borssette for Caddo Dist Judge

SHREVEPORT, LA (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town) BREAKING:
POLITICS 2pm 7-28-08 Former Louisiana State Senator "Syd" Nelson formally announced his endorsement of Eddie Brossette for District Court Judge of Caddo Parish. (Currently, a Caddo Parish ADA, Brossette is seeking to replace former Judge Charles Scott, who resigned earlier this year.)
Senator Nelson was a floor leader for both Governors Dave Treen and Buddy Roemer, and was often referred to by the news media as the “Conscience of the Senate” because of his honesty and integrity.
In his endorsement, Senator Nelson said, “ I have known Eddie Brossette all of his life and am pleased to endorse him for District Judge. He and his wife, Heather, are active members of First United Methodist Church. Eddie is honest, hard working, and intelligent.”
Nelson added, “Additionally, he has the experience that we need in a judge. He has more published cases than both of his opponents combined.”
In conclusion, Senator Nelson said, “Eddie is the most qualified candidate to replace Judge Charles Scott and that is why I have wholeheartedly endorsed his candidacy. I hope that you will join me in supporting Eddie’s candidacy for judge.”
Eddie Brossette stated “Senator Nelson served the citizens of our community with integrity and distinction, and I am honored to receive his endorsement.”
