BREAKING 10pm 8-10-08 Gasoline Prices Continue Free-Fall: Drop 15 Cents a Gallon in 2 Weeks
Monday, Aug 11, 2008 7:11am
NEW YORK, NEW YORK From CNN (By: Tom Pace, Talk of the Town)  BREAKING: GASOLINE PRICES 10pm 8-10-08  Motorists across the United States are enjoying a major continued drop in gasoline prices for the past 24 days. Locally across Shreveport-Bossier, regular unleaded is down to $3.62 a gallon in some places.

Nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular gas fell to $3.818 from $3.826 the previous day, motorist group AAA found. That's down more than 7% from the record high of $4.114 that gas prices hit on July 16th, according to CNN

Gas prices have eased substantially in recent weeks amid signs that global demand for petroleum products is slowing.

But gas prices still remain high in historical terms. Friday's national average price is more than $1 higher than it was a year ago.

Now here's the question everybody's asking: "How long will the price per gallon free-fall continue?"
