MUDBUGS HOCKEY 3pm 8-12-08 John Madden Names Ray Delia as New Mudbugs' Team Mgr

BOSSIER CITY, LA (By: Tom Pace, Executive Editor, Talk of the Town) BREAKING: MUDBUGS HOCKEY NEWS 3pm 8-12-08 Mudbugs' owner John Madden today presented Ray Delia as the new President and General Manager of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Hockey Team.

Returning to his professional roots, Delia now comes full circle back to the 'Bugs, having served as President and G.M. of the Mudbugs from 1997-2000. According to the 'Bugs news release, he helped build the organization into the most successful sports franchise in the region.

Delia won the WPHL's Executive of the Year Award in 2000, and was a part of the Mudbugs' first two President's Cup Chapionships in 1999 & 2000. For the 2005-2006 season, Delia was recruited by the Phoenix Suns as Chief Operating Officer for the ECHL's Phoenix Roadrunners.

In the 2006-07 season, Delia became Roadrunners' General Manager.

Last year, he moved to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the Moncton Wildcats as General Manager from 2007-08.
