BREAKING: 8-27-08 Sen Vitter Conducts Energy Forum Town Hall Meeting at Centenary College

SHREVEPORT, LA (By: Tom Pace, Executive Editor, Talk of the Town) BREAKING: ENERGY NEWS  9am 8-27-08  As part of his statewide tour of "Energy Forums," Sen. David Vitter spoke today at a Town Hall Meeting held in the Centenary College Anderson Auditorium.  Vitter was in Shreveport to give an update on the current crisis Americans are facing with rising gasoline prices, spurred on by the high cost of oil. 

Calling the energy problem "a critical challenge that hits us all in the pocketbook," in a "One-on-One" with Tom Pace from "The Talk of the Town" , Vitter covered a variety
of topics: from the possibility of a hurricane Gustav hitting the Louisiana coast - and, more importantly, is the state prepared to withstand a Category 3 storm... to the impact it would have on oil production in the United States. 

Vitter also answered questions on the future of Cyber Command HQ at Barksdale Air Force Base...who he believes is Sen. McCain's pick as his VP... his take on the Democrats' Obama-Bieden ticket...and Vitter gives his assessment on the need for increased drilling in the United States.
