Pugs see very well. Sometimes they get "googly eyes" but they seem to have binocular vision with depth perception when they are alert. (ie both eyes looking forward)

There is a large hawk that lives in a tall tree in our front yard. We walk the pug, we do not let her roam outside because she will eat things she shouldn't. The hawk circles around about 80ft off the ground and is very interested in the pug and the pug is very aware of the hawk. They both see well.

Any pet be it cat, dog or other is good. They bring much happiness and some pain but well worth it all. Yes even the pug is a good companion and friend and if you own one you will know it is true love for you would not buy one for their looks

Tbelle has the same color as her pasty white snow ball Rosie :laugh:

Texasbelle 08-19-2007 02:43 PM

Only the whites of my eyes are the same color as Rosie!!!

Speaking of that demon, she's been trying to sleep in bed with Mr. Belle and I (all 90 lbs. of her!). She and I have had many restless nights this last week while I try to keep her out and she tries to sneak in. A wise guy gave me the idea to put lemon juice in a bottle and spray her with it when she tried to climb in bed. It only took two squirts and she spent last night in bed with Little Boy Belle! She gave up on ours!!!!!!! I guess that lemon juice isn't worth a comfy place to lay your furry head.

Issac talk to coralman about weird fishes such loaches or placostamus aquarium fish which can be very coveted and prized even though they may look strange.

Not that I think the Pug looks strange or weird. She is beautimus. She just has a lot of Fu!! She's on the cutting edge of canine genetics.

Coralman does not have clue about Pugs :nono: I know that their are some ugly fish but how does that relate to ugly Pugs ?:laugh:

Is your pug related to either one these two ?

Attack dogs run, run  Do those little dogs go pee pee and poo poo in the house all the time ? I bet those little boys mark there area well

Texasbelle 08-21-2007 07:18 PM

Those are not all boys....Bella and Reese are girls! All of the babies are potty trained quite well. They aren't attack dogs that's Rosie's job, but they are a great alarm system.

Something like a bunch of geese ? That many could make some noise big time. One day you will get you a Border Collie and wave bye, bye to the other breeds as the years go by :laugh::laugh:

Why is your poor dog hiding behind the tree is she afraid of those cows. Yep old #44 on the list is a side liner  She is pretty to look at :D

Texasbelle 08-21-2007 07:42 PM

You've got it all wrong man! The cows ran and hid behind the tree. They backed WAAAYYYY off that fence row when the white fluffball bearing her teeth came at them.

I do not see any teeth or running cows and biscuit hound looks like she is just smelling the air to see if she needs to run back home :laugh:

Texasbelle 08-21-2007 08:10 PM

Interestingly, the Kuvasz is a member of the "Working Group". Border collies are also working dogs, right? So when Isaac is the last time those black and white mutts of yours actually got out of the office and did their job? Oh, they probably don't know how which is why they stayed hemmed up in the office playing with balls!!!:laugh::laugh:

Rosie is daring those cows to come back to the fence. She knows her job. How 'bout y ou bring those hounds out and let's see if they can herd up those cows?

rhertz 08-21-2007 09:05 PM

The Pug is the only dog certified by the Himalayan Monks Association of China!!! :D

The Pug is the biggest of all the "toy" dogs... Yes she is!

rhertz 08-21-2007 10:36 PM

Border Collies are "slinky". They slink around with their head down. They don't stand up proud and tall like a Pug. :poke: :duck:

Those cows would want no part of the instinct of the Border Collie. These black and white mutts are busy working on the computer so please do not disturb them while they are working ;)

She has different howls, and welcome barks for different people.. for strangers.. and I think a bear would fit that description, sets off her car alarm bark.. it's the strangest thing, but when she does that, I know for a fact, strangers are approaching the house.

rhertz 10-04-2007 07:24 PM

Da Pug gets along with EVERYBODY! She don't know no better.... :D

Texasbelle 10-04-2007 08:03 PM

What good is a dog that doesn't alert you to strangers near the house?

vixweb 10-04-2007 08:25 PM

My pitbull NEVER shuts up, but he Loves everybody! At least he looks scary:laugh::laugh:

She's a "companion dog". My wife calls her a "lap dog". She knows nothing but love. She alerts me to strange dogs barking on TV and that's about it. Himalayan Monks used to keep Pugs 1000's of years ago and you know how peaceful Monks are. But now that I think about it, she makes a little fuss when the doorbell rings.... :D

I've never really met a pitbull, but I like English Bulldogs which are sort of like king sized pugs only weirder... I also like dachounds and I guess border collies are ok... :ducking: I used to have a regular collie growing up.

I kinda want a Japanese Chin but I'm done with longhairs...
