Yes, Al, you should try living with one. Do you really want to get the women on this board started about men? This thread could go on for years about you men and it might get painful for you! On the other hand, think how boring your life would be without your woman. Nothing sweet and warm in your life and nothing to gripe about.

Isabella 03-21-2007 11:44 PM

LOL, Al it looks like you are outnumbered!

I guess that can go both ways but admit you can't live w/o her as we can't live w/o our men.

If there were more women on this forum I would suspect someone would rip you to pieces w/ this post. :D

Oh, after everything women have put me thru in my life, I doubt anything you could say would hurt my feelins. As a man on his third marriage, I'm happy to own up to the mistakes I've made in past marriages/relationships. Especially my BIGGEST mistakes, the ones where I chose the wrong women! In retrospect, those divorces were the best things that ever happened to me, but it was just a damn shame that those lessons were such painful ones to learn. My current wife is a wonderful woman, best I've ever had, and I count myself lucky to have her. But there are times, and I'm sure everyone has these, when I wonder if I wouldnt just be better off alone. Admittedly, those are the times when we're having one of our now rare heated arguments. But yes, my life is indeed better with her in it. I will say that during my years in the Army, I lived with as many as four different men at a time in one room in the barracks, so I know what thats like. And I seldom had any trouble with them. Everyone had a healthy respect for other people's boundaries.

After everything my ex put me through in my life (16 yrs i gave him!) nothing could hurt me. I toughened up to something I would have never dreamed I could ever become due to his "abuse" That one divorce and only divorce I ever had was the best choice I ever made in life next to having my 2 children. My current fiance is the best person I could ever ask for, ask latenight and rhertz they know him personally, great guy! I have never lived with women and would chooose never to do so if given the opportunity I like men too much hahahaha

In reality as I said it goes both ways, I'm sure there are worse stories out there than mine or yours we are just sharing our horrid experiences where some may not.

Christianity is in great shape for any that had a question and those that do not have faith just wait the answers are coming and soon. The Lion of Judah and Son of Man will prevail so God bless all of you that took part in this thread and ladies too would not wont to leave you gals out. Was it the rib or just a curve maybe the double helix.

Trust me Isaac, we can live without you guys. We have options, but we choose to live with you. It is you men who can not live without women!;) Al, got spanked last night a little by the women on the board but he enjoyed it and we all enjoyed sharing our thoughts on the opposite sex. Divorce is a very humbling experience and the reasons you divorce can really make you or break you. They change you forever and that can be for the good or bad. It looks like for some of us it was definitely for the good.

LOL yup, Scarlett's fiance is alright in my book. However, when it comes to Al's past wives.. I can tell you all straight up.. IT WAS LIKE WATCHING A TRAIN WRECK IN SLOW MOTION !!!

I've been married so long, I forget what it was like to be single :)

Texasbelle 03-22-2007 10:28 AM

Al and Scarlett...isn't it great that the best is always saved for last!!!!!! I am very thankful for the husband God has blessed me with this time and glad the first one is somebody else's problem. The jokes on her now!

AnimeSpirit 03-22-2007 11:25 AM

I am unfortunate enough to be alone at the moment and have been for about a year now. I haven't had the best of luck with women over the past year. I've been stood up on dates at least 3 times over the past year and it's really beginning to bug me. Most of the women I meet talk about how they want guys that won't play games and they turn out to be the players themselves.

Oh well, I'm only 24 and I've got time to look around. :)

Well I will say from experience and also from knowing about 10 other couples, look for an older woman. I am not saying 40 since you are only 24 but try 30 or so. Not all 30 yr old women are mature but most seem to know what they want by that age. The younger women these days like to tease, play games etc. and are still unsure what they want.

I am the older woman by the way in this relationship, he was 23 when I met him and I was 30 :D

Texasbelle 03-22-2007 11:33 AM

You might consider yourself fortunate Anime. Any girl who is going to be rude enough to stand someone up is not the girl you want to date or spend any time with. You are only 24 and most girls 24 are only interested in the chase at this point. There are some out there who are not but those are few and hard to find. They are the rare jewel. That is the girl you want to look for. Take your time, lots of it and you'll find her. I wish you the best, you seem to have a good heart and for us girls those are hard to find in men as well.

That is really wonderful not many can say that these days. I know I personally tried to make mine last praying daily for him to change. But as we know everyone has a will to do what they want and he chose the opposite of what I wanted.

My life is wonderful and wouldn't change it if you paid me to.

This is all so true. When you do find the right one you will definitely know it and it will be when you are least expecting it. No one is perfect we are all human but there are still some great people out there looking for the samething you are. Be patient it will happen quicker than you will know.

Good luck

The funny part is the guy who started calling me Socialist, then apologized and promised to never do it again, is NOW calling me evil.

Is this what you guys meant by respect, Anime?
Is that what you call professional behavior?

Or is this just another indication that ignoring problems doesn't make them go away....

Glad to see someone is having fun!! Smash your Brain! :D

Sorry about your Dad Rhertz

Let's see if I can hit the highlights for you and catch you up quick...

1: BrainsmashR went missing for awhile  Nobody knows where but there was lots of speculation.

2: Another Brain showed up. Some thought it was BrainsmashR in disguise, some didn't. We're still not quite sure, but one thing we do know, he/she was funny.

3: This thread has been off topic many times.

4: Al got a spanking by the girls last night.:whip: But he has recovered and probably won't take us on quite like that again. Isaac sure is scared of us and Neo hasn't dared joined in!

5: Anime is getting great advice from the girls this morning and we are cheering him on in his pursuit of a dream woman as fine as the girls on this board. :D

6: Bad news: It's lunch time and BrainsmashR has a lunch break and is busy on the board bashing folks, but that's ok they'll take care of him.:p

Hope this gives you a mini Siskel and Texasbelle review.

It is much better and it has been fun even with some of the strange comments. Christianity will carry the day and eternity so for those who have been bless by their faith we find it hard to reach others but it is not for all to know. Christianity is growing not shrinking and that bothers some and it makes not difference to others. I am glad this has been the top thread.

I live with four girls from 16 to 46 and they like to team up but one on one now that is a very different story. They think with emotions and we think analytical most of the swing vote in this country is of the female side of things. The crazy thing is they run the whole damned country and we let them just how crazy is that.  Then came Adams rib and things have never been the same :D :D Thank God for you girls we might still be sitting there just doing what guys do

Apparently the two of us have extremely different opinions on what constitutes "a life"....the difference is you seem to be lacking a first-hand reference.

AnimeSpirit 03-22-2007 08:46 PM

You know, I just thought of an interesting analogy to compare with the theological existance of God. Latenight will probably know exactly where I got this analogy from.

Rationalists like to think God doesn't exist because we have no recorded evidence of His existance. We have no sample or measurement that supports that He is actually out there somewhere, therefore science cannot confirm His existance. That is the foundation of science afterall, what can be measured or observed.

Now, lets talk geometry and physics for a moment. Let's say there is a point in space that has no volume. It has no length, no width, and no height. It is merely an empty point in space that can't even be filled in with matter without adding volume to it (which means changing it into something that is no longer a point). Such single points cannot be measured, recorded, or observed because they do not exist in our 3-Dimensional world or the 2-D world. However, they logically exist on some level that is far beneath our own dimension of space. According to a book by Robert Bryanton, there are as many as 10 dimensional levels that we currently recognize in quantum physics.

Science can measure something that is on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dimensional level because these levels can be actively observed. Now, if God is truly as omnipotent as many of us believe, it is prudent to assume that He is on a dimensional level that is far above the 4th dimension, making Him impossible for us to actively perceive unless he comes down to our level of existance. With that, it is not that God doesn't exist. It's just that our science is currently not sufficient enough to measure beyond our dimension and those neighboring it.

This is all merely speculation, of course, but it adds an interesting twist on the typical perspective. Next time someone says that you can't prove God's existance because science can't prove it, tell them science can't prove a single point in space exists either, but we all know they do.

We have plenty of recorded evidence of His existence. All of the samples and measurements that have ever been taken of anything, anywhere, supports His existence. I've said this before, said it till I was blue in the face, but for the benefit of those of you who didnt get it the first five hundred times, I'll say it again...CREATION ITSELF IS PROOF OF GOD'S EXISTENCE! We're walking on it, eating it, breathing it, living it. Cant make it any simpler than that for ya.

I'm not a rationalist in that respect, Al, so you don't have to convince me. However, you surely know what a rationalist would say to that. I'd imagine the response would be, "Existance is proof of existance, but it does not prove HOW we got here or WHO is responsible."

I'd rather not discuss my personal views on creationism though. I just posted that analogy, because I thought it was intriguing.

Al Swearengen 03-22-2007 09:35 PM

My last post WAS the rationalist's point of view. Any rational person would arrive at that conclusion, that creation itself is proof of God's existence. It all had to start somewhere, didnt it? If you take it back far enough, SOMETHING had to have made all of this. That SOMETHING, for lack of a better word, is GOD. A boulder could understand this. Anyone who claims otherwise is being willfully obtuse.

I see. I understand your perspective. You are not claiming to understand what God is. You're saying that whatever put us here is God and everything else is a side point. Is that right? My definition of "rationalist" is somewhat different, but I think I see your rationale.
