Marrow drive for 4-month-old cancer patient until 8 p.m.

I was going to go down there at lunch and get swabbed. Anybody else?

Yeah why not... I'll keep my eyes peeled for the guy wearing the new sblive ipod! :D

I got swabbed at lunch. Really good crowd. Took about 45 min. They say they've had a steady crowd since 8am. I imagine they will be busy from 5-8pm. Come on down! :D

rhertz that is a very good thing you did and I hope everyone that can will go down there and and get swabbed :clap:

I went by at 12 and there were five million people there so I picked up a form and will go back later this afternoon.

That is very noble of you and rhertz! I would like to go too and saw on the website where there were other locations coming up this week! Good job!:clap:

Well I did it for Ethan, even if there is only that remote possibility. I mean how much marrow does an infant need? Now if an 300 lb 60 year old man comes strolling up with a cigarette in his mouth, needing a couple of quarts, I might have to think twice about it. ;)

Two things you need to know:

1) Man would have to give up cigarettes before he could go into the transplant unit!

2) You don't have to give THAT much marrow.

3) Most of the time you never know who you are donating to.

That picture of his face in the paper broke my heart. The wife and I agreed to go and get tested.

I went back at 5 and was in and out in about 15 minutes.
