Ding Ding Ding.. tell her what she wins !!!

Yup, that's Shreveport's own.. AAAAAAAAAA-Train. A pretty young A-train from the looks of it :)

Bruce and Buddy went on to form the Bluebirds.. going on 21 years now as the Bluebirds.

Say there Pocahontas, did you spend some nights at Humphrees in the Square ?

Yes indeed that was a long time ago wasn't it? But I enjoyed watching A Train play and still love listening to the Bluebirds now!

Very cool. For my 18th birthday, my brother took me to Humphrees and I saw A-Train for the first time. "back in the day" LOL

and you can catch the Bluebirds at the Mudbug Festival Sunday, May 27th at the Festival Plaza.

Many a hour listening to Bruce and Buddy. They are a part of this town that will go down in history. The old A Train song Buddy would play for me at Oak Creek was "Bend Over Baby" good blues song  good photos and good memories :D

LOL, I remember Buddy used to introduce that song.. "this is for all the women here tonight..." and if I had enough to drink I'd shout out.. "BEND OVER BABY!"

LOL

I remember (but in a haze) not only Humphrees but Sports Page and Steam Boat Annies in the Square. You could carry a drink outdoors at that time like in the French Quarter. And not only bars, but arcades like Hole in the Wall on the riverfront and Guys and Dolls in the basement of the Lane building... Downtown was cool when I was in high school. (mid 70's) we bought our Levi's at Yellen's. And we went to the Fun Shop where the guy tried to sell us strawberry snuff, Locker Room, and strawberry flavored rolling papers! There was a little bit of everything for everybody. :D
