Three glass-lined tank cars carrying Coors beer were damaged and beer leaked from at least one of the cars onto the ground. The beer was headed from the Coors plant in Golden to its plant in Virginia.
I'm sorry LN, don't be too upset.:peace:

Why do they ship beer from one plant to another? I thought the whole point of another plant was so you didn't have to do that.

Joe you are thinking too logically. (logistics) I'm sure it has to do with reducing or avoiding state taxes or government regulation. ;) In the old days, they called it bootlegging...

It could be another Smokey and The Bandit. Remmeber the movie where Coors wasn't allowed east of the Texas Line. Maybe they thought they had it hid.

Coors is refrigerated continuously from the time it's made to the time it's sold so back in the day they wouldn't distribute it in the East because it was too expensive to haul stuff that far in refrigerated trucks.

Anyone ever read "Citizen Coors?" Great book about a seriously screwed-up family.
