<B>UPDATE: Rolling confesses to Shreveport murders just before he was executed.</B>

Former Shreveporter Danny Rolling was executed in Florida last evening for the 1990 slayings of five college students in Gainesville.

The 52-year-old Rolling, who was put to death just after 5 p.m. yesterday Shreveport time, died as the lone suspect in the murders of three members of a Shreveport family who were stabbed to death in their Southern Hills home.
