They lost track of a lot of these folks. And I believe by law these folks are supposed to let law enforcement know where they are..

I remember Sheriff Prator having trouble trying to get information on these folks when some of them moved into town. With this new law, if said offender is found to be without one of these IDs, they can get into further trouble.

now believe me, I'm not one for "Big brother" trying to keep better tabs on us etc.. but when it comes to pedophiles and the like, they can keep track all they want to on those folks.

Why not ?

They need to plant a GPS chip in them if there is such a thing. I think pink is a good color for sex crimes. Maybe if they cut off the offending part there would be no more problem from them

This has to do with "sex offenders" very few of whom are pedophiles.

Why is this law supposed to work better than the last one? If after Katrina they left without telling anybody where they went how will this law change anything?

Good point. Sometimes we don't just need more laws, but rather enforcement of the ones we already have. I mean what makes a law abiding society, the laws themselves, or the threat of enforcement of those laws? The bottom line is that it cost money to enforce laws. We just need higher taxes! Wait, what am I saying...no scratch that. ;)
