Louisiana ranks second for black homicides in a national study. Pennsylvania ranked first in the study.

This trend is going to very hard to break
 

How do we turn this train around and make it go back up hill ? I just do not know how we can place morals in a culture that is so shattered. It starts in the home but if the parents are not there for the kids it is up to teachers in public schools and they do a great job but the kids have to go home each day to violence and crime. Just very sad :confused:

There is no need to pluralize the word "parent" in that context, it's almost always just the mother.

That is how it is Joe. Does anybody have any ideas how to change that ? It just kills me how 17% of our country crys so loud that you would think that they make up more than 50% well they do in Shreveport and that is a big problem for black on black crime. :eek: This is the VERY reason we moved from Shreveport to Bossier in 1990 and have been very happy in Bossier.

Black people make up 13% of the country not 17%.

Having 50% of your city be black isn't a problem. Having 70% of your children born to single mothers is.

Having 70% of your children born to single mothers is.
 

Well put Joe I was going to say that. Why is it 17% can cause such a stir in Washington and Baton Rouge ? Some white people feel sorry for them and others are just plain afraid of them and we can not just think money will fix this large problem as I said in another post it is a very different culture that accepts no fathers and going to jail for a while is no big deal. Ohhhhhhhhh I am a racist ? No just calling it as it is ! Oh and yes 51% is a major problem in Shreveport :eek:
