He should have expected scrutiny when he stepped into the office and especially one that was in the shape the coroner's office was when he inherited it.

I think you'll see him defeated come election time though or I hope you will. Just last week a 7 y/o child was reportedly raped and the police made several attempts to have him come out and do the rape exam. He would not come out and do it after they finally got him on the phone. Furthermore he gave the instructions for the parents not to bath the child but to bring the child in the next day for an exam. Any defense attorney would love that. The whole exam doesn't take place for more than 24 hours. Talk about compromising evidence. Then he still did not do the exam. The parents had to find a physician on their own to do it. If this is the kind of job he is going to do, I am not sure he is the man for the job.
