After months of not-so-coy will-he-or-won't-he political flirtation, Fred Thompson has finally and officially announced that he is a candidate for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination.

I'm looking forward to learning more about this candidate. I know he's an actor, but so was Ronald Reagan...and he did a fine job!

If I were to vote for best candidate voice, it would be Fred Thompson. I, too, am looking to hearing more from him.

Fred Thompson could be the sleeping giant ? I do not know enough about his platform to say for sure.

Unfortunately for the good senator, in our cyclical political system, this conservative era is waning and the obama and the mama era is ebbing. Don't kill the messenger. RON PAUL '08

Clearly, whoever the front-runners are in the GOP, We will be much better positioned than the Democrats. Hillary will NOT win the Presidency and I doubt Obama could either. I think ALOT of people would come out and vote against her, no-one else has that kind of Dislike factor.
