Well my house isn't flooded, but the heavy rain has uncovered a nasty roof leak dripping into our dining room. I went to Home Depot for a tarp and some rope and 2 of the 3 streets leaving my neighborhood were flooded. Big tree down too. Nasty weather!!

Hang in there.. don't get washed away.
out near Blanchard, all along Old Mooringsport Rd, house after house has a LAKE in their front yard. Lucky for me I live on a hill, I think it could rain for months at a time, I'd be o.k. just couldn't drive anywhwere ![]() |

I saw many "lakes" on the way to Home Depot. The loop was flooded a couple of feet right out front of Home Depot. Bayou Pierre is higher than I've seen in years. I saw some homes that looked like islands surrounded by water.
I'm feeling better now that the rain has slowed and the roofers have arrived and are banging on my roof. That banging is music to my ears! ![]() |
