USS Shreveport to be decommissioned

USS Shreveport to be decommissioned this fall

I've always wondered how there ended up being a Navy ship called the USS Shreveport... apparently according to the KTBS article, it is named after Henry Miller Shreve.

Would appear they called it "Super Gator"

This was the second vessel to bear the name. Maybe that means that some day there will be a third. (fingers crossed)
