I'm just of the opinion that it's only natural to have godlike connections to monumental creations. The difference is the average person was more intelligent by the time we got around to building skyscrapers and atomic reactors, so you don't have any fanciful legends associated with their creation like you have with the pyramids.

I mean it was the tallest building in the world close to 50 centuries right, that's one hell of an accomplishment.
