On the other hand....how many of us women have cried or manipulated our way out of a ticket?

Never. I have always taken my medicine, but then I have only had one speeding ticket when I was 18.
Yes, Isaac, that was just 11 years ago!!!!!!!!!! ![]()

I've never had any kind of ticket or accident. I've got a perfect driving record.
And I just BET that very few (if any) of you have driven a vehicle as HUGE as the one I drove in the military. ![]()

There was these two times I was pulled over, I believe they were both for expired inspection stickers.. Both times, my wife was in the passenger seat, and at the time, my two boys were very little, and sitting in the back seat.
By the time I pulled over, and the cop got up to my window, the wife was basically "letting me have it" and the kids were getting a bit excited in the backseat.. Both times, the cop looked at me.. looked past me to my wife, looked in the back seat at the boys, then looked back at me...... and told me to "drive safely" LOL And then there was this "Other" time.. I won't get into the specifics LOL but there I was, Cop on horseback on one side of me, cop on a bicycle on the other side of me.. they were getting ready to "write me up" a ticket.. when my wife.. at the time about 9 months pregnant with our first boy.. steps out of the car and she started to let me have it Cops told me to go home, and "drive carefully" ![]() |

You know LN those cops probably thought you were getting a punishment far worst than a ticket could do. But I would like to know did she teach you anything.

There she is, the USS Spruance (DD-963). I was her sole master helmsman throughout Med Cruise 2002. I stood more hours behind her wheel than any other watch throughout my 6-month cruise. Now THAT is one big vehicle. I also served on a carrier, but I didn't get certified to pilot that thing. Didn't want to either.

There was one really foggy evening when the ship was pulling in, visibility was so low, we couldn't see the bullnose of the ship from the bridge window. They wouldn't let us pull in with visibility so bad, so my mother (who normally watches the ship come in) went home. Despite visibility, we pull her in anyway and I was at the wheel.
