It's costing us more money to drive to the grocery store and because of high gasoline prices, what we pull off the shelves is costing us more too.
In Shreveport-Bossier, over the past three years, the cost of eating has gone up, sometimes dramatically. Food prices can be volatile. Prices for staples like meat, cereal, and many vegetables are up, according to the council for community and economic research.

To think this has been going on for over three years.
