All of our kids have read the books and seen the movies. I've done none, thus asking for y'alls opinions...guess it's a little too late. I've seen enough snippets from the movies to feel like they are in line with Lord of the Rings etc. and that the good does overcome the evil. Also my girls are not youngsters. I agree with Jesse have them read read read...I know I love to and you are never to old to stop learning and expanding the mind.
