Believe it or not, prayer does work for many people. Just because it may not work for you doesn't necessarily make it a laughable matter to others who do put their faith in prayer. I certainly to not laugh at you because you may think humans were created out of a mud puddle or primordial soup without any intelligent designer.

Fair enough. The first person who delivers a method of transportation to "Earth2" that they acquired solely through the power of prayer will not only gain my complete and utter respect. I'll kneel before your god and pledge my undying loyalty.

You see, rhertz, there's a difference between prayer "working" and prayer "working for people". It may settle your nerves and give you a sense of clam you've never experienced before, but it won't provide the means for you to fly to another planet.

The point of prayer is not for God to give you what you want. Prayer is for worshiping and praising the Creator. When you ask for something, the point is to A) name your request, but also to B) ask for the strength to handle the situation if God says, "No". He doesn't say "No" because he doesn't like or love us, but because he wants us to rely on Him and not on ourselves or earthly things.

Matty yet another good post We should not fear the Lord but revere the Lord would be a better translation.

Either this sentence was typed in error or your even dumber than I thought possible.

Rely on God to prepare your supper from now on instead of yourself or your family, then rely on him to bring you to work every morning instead of you or your feet. Hopefully you'll come to your senses before you get fired or starve to death.

Tear it down, tear it down never to build up that is your plight in life to the pit of filth you go you poor evil bastard. I even Santabot had enough of your lies and insults so why don't you just move on and find some of your kind if that be possible.

Isaac,

Let's keep it civil. Name calling and cut-downs don't help.

Matt

Hey Matt you are right. Sometimes it is hard not to get mad at someone for attacking everything you post. I will try to do better. I like your post

So what....that's about the 10th time you've said that in the 2.5 months I've been here?

Typical christian, telling lies every single time you open your mouth.

It seems to me that you are trying to prove that religious are more well behaved than anyone else.

God gave me the intellect, will, and ability to cook my own dinner, feet, or the ability to earn money and buy a car to get myself to work.

I see, so YOU didn't buy the stove you're cooking on?
YOU didn't receive some type of training in the kitchen so you would know the difference between a knife and a fork?
No one EVER taught you how to fry an egg, you were simply born with this "god given talent"?

Why do I get the distinct feeling you're a liar or a VERY confused individual?
