The death of a 2 year old is being investigated by Caddo Sheriff's detective after child left in vehicle.

I read about this last night.. People, please be careful out there. We've been under a heat advisory here the last few days, and continues. Withe temps reaching 100+ degrees, making the temp inside a car just completely unbearable and unsafe for children and pets.

But this isn't the first time this summer that this type of headline has made the news. Is this actually a "common" occurrence every summer, or is the seemingly increased heat becoming more fatal than in years past?
