This guy actually shows the gun. I don't know if he's using the same kind though. Interesting design concept. Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman would be proud.

How is that rubber band gun any different than using your fingers. Does that mean if you shoot someone using your fingers it is a felony too.

The difference here is that the gun was painted black and resembled a real gun and the kid pointed it out the window of his dad's truck at passing motorists, who, saying they feared for their life called police.
The story goes on to say that the prosecutor was not going to file charges. The dad should have known (and instructed Jr.) that there is a proper way and place to play with his new toy. Remember, here in Shreveport a man was shot and killed by police because he pointed a cell phone at police but represented it as a gun. Maybe that man had a rubber band gun when he was a child and a dad who didn't care. |

My grandson has alot of play guns but he can only play with them in the house. That way no one can misunderstand.
