Not Voting
>People who don't vote, don't have the right to complain about our government.
Sure, they do. >I guess my fair share is being in a high tax bracket Our community doesn't have an income tax. |

Our community still has to comply with all state and federal regulations. Our commmunity elects officials that particpitate in state and federal decisions.

I've never added up what I pay in income tax, plus social security tax, plus property tax, plus sales tax, plus inventory/property tax, plus payroll tax, plus plus plus... I'm pretty sure it's a substantial amount! |

Bracket
Sales tax isn't bracketed. Everybody in the city is in the same tax bracket sales tax-wise.

Why would anybody not vote ? What about our friend Stelly the tax man. Not
everybody pays the same sales tax. You can go to Bossier to shop and pay more or out of the city limits and pay less or out of state and pay nothing on tax free days. I find it hard to take anybody serious that does not vote it kind of taints anything they write or say. I know if I did not vote I would not tell anyone ! Sounds like a socialist idea. Issac |

Chief of police retires
Shreveport's Police Chief Has Retired From The Department
I wonder if that has anything to do with our new mayor ? I guess that's pretty typical is it not ? for a mayor to pick his chief of police ? |

Al, for what its worth, IMHO, in an "all volunteer" military, those who serve are casting their ultimate vote. Thanks for serving but don't expect me to call you a "great american", but only because of Hannity. You know what I mean. I'll just call you a great "Early American" from the old West.. LOL, I must buy the Deadwood series and learn more about Al S.

LOL Rhertz, yeah, I get alot of mileage out of my vet status...its one of the benefits of having served. I can sometimes use it to make up for any change Im short when purchasing a tasty snack or beverage, and its particularly effective in situations such as these, where I can use it to pummel my detractors into submission

Yeah, I knew about ole Chester's standing offer of a free catfish dinner..hes been doin that for some time now, and ya gotta admit, its one hell of a marketin device. I've never taken him up on it, as I rarely have my DD214 with me. Would've loved to see him unseat McCrery, but alas, twas not to be.

But you did not vote Al ??? Your spelling sucks too ! You may be a vet ? I don't know that for sure but I would think if your a vet you would be the first one in line to vote ? Not ! I guess being a vet and older and wiser than everybody and a Christian and a Jew at the same time you have all the bases covered. Apologize for what I said ? NOT ! Al don't get your feelings hurt as we all throw rocks from behind our avatar just pick them up and throw them back. Al did you ever serve in active combat or did you sit behind a desk ? Which branch did you serve in ? I thank you for serving our country ! Next time you have a chance to vote please vote unless something has happened so that they will not let you vote ? I am sure you have your reasons I just do not know what they are. Isabella stand by your statement and don't cut bait and run from the truth.
