That cat shows up at my door and I will shoot him dead. I would never let him steal my breath away.

That's not the pussy to worry about!
I don't think you have to worry about that pussy sucking the breath out of you while on your face.

Bad enough to be sent to the "HOME" but to wake up and have the cat of death sitting in your bed. What if Oscar is in the wrong bed heck that would give you a heart attack. I say off with Oscars head Send him to cat rehab.

Oscar is a sweet kitty that provides a valuable service. Its said that cats can see into the spirit world, so Oscar knows when someone's time is approaching, and he lovingly escorts the dying person into the hereafter. What a comfort that must be. I'd bet that in alot of cases, Oscar is the only one there when one of the patients shrugs off the mortal coil. I hope I'm that lucky when its my turn.

The reporter that interviewed the people at the nursing home asked a very important and overlooked question, " Is the cat predicting death or responding to known practices?"
Seems this home has a policy of bedside vigil for someone during their last hours. Personnel play soft music, use aroma therapy and sit next to the patient that already has been deemed "in their final hour." Then the cat comes in and lays next to the patient. I would allow the cat..... keep those last hour people out of my room. |

Maybe I'm just impartial to sweet little cats, but I'd rather have the cat beside me than someone playing music for burning incense.
Incidentally, my cat has slept in my bed since the night I first brought her home as a kitten 2 years ago. If I put my hands behind my head and sleep, she'll curl up against my face and neck in the crook of my right arm and sleep there. She's such a good cat.
