I went to South La just last weekend and my only request was to eat some crawfish. My daughter got me some and oh do I miss eating them. The people here don't eat crawfish we call them mudbugs and well that's what they think they are. I have only seen lobster on the menu but never crawfish.

Here is a memory of eating crawfish at a friends house

Well no crawfish here that's for sure like i said i had some in S. La last weekend and they were good! Boiled just like a cajun. Last time i went to mudbug madness the crawfish were nasty, dirty and weren't purged. I can't stand the smell nor would eat them looking as they did.

I will make a trip to S'port sometime this year to visit right now I can't but I sure do miss everyone. I'm from Houma, La and don't miss people there like I miss S'port/Bossier friends.

I caught and sold crawfish commercially for a couple of seasons and my deal was I would only sell crawfish I was willing to eat. I have to tell you the crap that they are selling now is fish bait. I am going to do it again because I am so disappointed with what is on the market. You should have tail meat as big as your thumb.

Nothing surprises me in this day and age. if they could sell fake crawfish like crab and get away w/ it they would.
